Re: Advice required on fresh food

What is Pectin?

TBH I think it would just be too expensive although I'll look into it.
Don't mind any advice - what do you think - is it more expensive than buying cans?

Re: Advice required on fresh food

I buy the raw mince from Asda, as do a lot of breeder friends of ours. It's 80pence a packet, I can get 2 or 3 meals out of it. I sometimes mix it with the Natures menu, as some of the cats are still not keen on it on it's own. The kittens wolf it down as it is though, lol.
I buy the rabbit meat from the natures menu site online

We don't have Asda here
Aldi is up the road - will see what they charge. The thing is I wouldn't buy my own meat in those places after reading about what some of it is - I get it all from the butchers which may be why I think it's expensive

Do you get on with your butcher ? Maybe he could do you a deal on cheap cuts of mince beef, it has to be the stuff with the fat in, not the lean stuff

That is a fantastic idea - I will ask - I don't know him really well but everyone here is lovely and helpful so I'd feel comfortable asking. He can only say no.
Suppose the fat is what alot of people get rid of these days too
