I'm not a breeder but to be honest I would not touch Hill's Science Plan with a bargepole based on what it did to our poorly kittens and then analysising the ingredients. It's ingredients are absolute rubbish, high percentage of fillers and predominantly low quality ingredients.
Orijen is a biologically appropriate food and the benefits are quite noticable after a short period of time, our kittens turned around from one being on deaths door to healthy vibrant kittens within a week of switching to Orijen and raw meat as opposed to Hill's Science Plan Prescription i/d wet and dry food. If we'd have stuck with the vet's advice to stick with Hill's and not switch their food while they were ill I really do think we'd have lost at least one of them.
When a vet recommends Hill's always remember they are educated in Nutrition by Hill's representatives and they get commission on the sale of all Hill's products.
