Sick cat

Hello,
I am new to the forum, I have a cat who now 17 years old, he has always wnjoyed good health with the exception of having had to have dental repair work.

But yesterday evening he brought back ALL his tea, I put this down to a different biscuit that I had fed him and was not too concerned. BUT I have just fed him his tea tonight, minus the biscuits and he has brought it all back again. He seems lively enough, but I think common sense is telling me that I need to take him to the vets, does anyone have any ideas as to why he has been sick twice now following his meal, he did gulp his food down, my partner is just giving him a small amount again to see how he is as he does appear to be hungary.

Re: Sick cat

it might be that he has a fur ball waiting to be brought up as that's what happens when my cat brings up her dinner.

Feeding small amounts slowly is a good idea. If that doesn't work, then it might be best to take him to the vets.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Thank you for the welcome, we fed him again about three hours ago, (a reduced amount) and so far so good, he has kept the food down and is sleeping on the sofa by the side of me as I type. Guess I am just getting a little worried as he has enjoyed perfect health for so long, and being sick is 'alien' to me, I guess at his age I am probably looking for 'things' that are not there.
