chewing my hair !!! Help!!!!!

Can anyone tell my why Millie decides that 6.45am is a great time to jump on me and chew my hair?

She really gets her head in the roots and has a right go.

Why is she doing this? Is she lacking certain nutrients or something???

This has been happening on and off since I got her, but it's getting more frequent now.

Help! Before one day she tugs too hard and I start getting a bald patch (my hair is v long so it's easy for her to get right into the roots).

Re: chewing my hair !!! Help!!!!!

Mine used to do this when they were younger and I was told it was a way of them showing their love!!! ahhh so sweet.....but maybe not in the early hours of the morning!

Tillie used to do it to everyone!! When we had visitors round she would climb up the back of the sofa and chew on peoples hair!!! was soooo funny!

Re: chewing my hair !!! Help!!!!!

Oh that sounds very much like Nefertiti syndrome !!! Only Nef usually starts it at 4am and now I got to tell you, you think it's bad at 6 am?

I wondered if it was down to a deficiancy but it really does seem more likely to be a show of affection.

I tend to react similiar to how I would if she bit my skin with the loud AAARGH or a "hiss". It tends to put her off (for a few hours at least).. but not really when shes got a hungry belly!
