Seizures
My very (very) much loved cat is 17 or 18 (rescue, so no precise details), and has had kidney problems for a long time, helped by Fortekor. About four weeks ago he started having seizures, and is now on various additional medications, which we thought were working nicely. However, he's just had a prolonged fit which was the most distressing to date, and left him exhaused: during these he rotates around the room, his legs give way, and he looks terrified.
The vet says these are distressing for us, but not for the cat. I am not entirely convinced, and wonder if I am keeping him going for selfish reasons - any comments/experiences please? |
