Is it possible for a kitten to become addicted to catnip?

If so does anyone have any suggestions on how to wean Timmy off it

Here is the story of how it all started:

I brought some catnip treats from P@H and Timmy loved them, I try and limit the amount of them he has but the OH doesn't understand about moderation and just keeps giving them to him

Well I didn't think it was too bad but today I brought catnip bubbles and sort of had a go, now Timmy is high as a kite and restless and has even attacked the draw where the catnip treats are kept.

I'm thinking that he may have to go to a detox clinic
