Re: Kitten Food

First of all, thanks for all the responses, and I'll try to get some answers in.

I'm not sure why the lady gave the kitten away so young. I was told it was already weaned and eating canned food. Since it had been many years since I'd touched a kitten I didn't think too much about how small he was. It wasn't until I'd bought him food that I realized something was wrong. I did some research and started feeding him correctly. I got him to the vet and the only thing they could say for definite is he isn't even a month old yet and that was after I had him for 3 days. They age by weight so maybe he was malnourished. I plan on taking him back in a few weeks for shots and can see if he's weighing the right amount.

Spid - If I based it on those pictures alone he was between two and three weeks when I got him. His eyes were open, but he didn't really walk until a two days ago. He's learning quick though!

Lorilu - Yes, the vet was a priority. I have another cat and wasn't sure if she lied about him having anything my big kitty might catch. Azuri is two and has been fully vetted so I hope she's safe from everything. I'm watching them closely for any bad signs. The only thing I know for definite is that he isn't going back to the lady I got him from, even if she has the mummy cat. I just can't understand why she did it, he isn't a rare breed and she didn't even charge me for him. In fact, she paid me to take him so I'm doubly wary.

Again, thanks for the responses, I'm going to try some of these and see which one works best.

Sadly my man went to sleep an hour ago and all my good pictures are on his phone. So there is one of him after his first flea bath.

Re: Kitten Food

Awww, the dear little thing! What's his name?

The woman clearly didn't want to be bothered with nursing kittens. UGH! I hope she has enough sense to get the mama spayed now.

Re: Kitten Food

I named him Sebastian. There's a recent picture and you can actually see all of him. He's spent a large part of today attacking everyone. He's very ferocious. Currently he's got a paw hooked in my shoe and is eating my foot.
