Healthy urinary tract & diet
My 10 year old cat presently has a urinary tract infection which the vet is giving her antiobiotics and anti-inflammatories for. The vet advised to give her more canned cat food, less dry and obviously always have drinking water available. I seem to recall that with urinary tract problems you can help by having more or less of some minerals. Does anyone know what they are? This particular cat loves dry cat food, but I will try giving her more canned. However, I wonder if there is any dry cat food around that you can buy over the counter especially formulated for urinary problems, as I couldn't see any in our local pet shop earlier.
