Unhappy Please send good vibes to poor ol' Alfie...

Not sure if, I told you all.. but last year on Boxing Day a neighbour came round, panicking about a cat they found, which they had seen a few times but and he didn't seem to look in good health - so to cut the story short, she gave him to my Nan.. She went to the rescue *whom I now work for* and they donated £60 to cover up the vet bill... He was checked over and was said to be healthy just under nutrition... therefore my nan kept him.. He is a really nice cat and loves human company - doesn't mind their dog either, which is a good thing...

Anyways.. last Friday my nan noticed his joints were abit swollen..thinking it was arthritus she made him an appointment to the vets, for some medication...They gave him Metacam - which he was fed until Saturday, on Sunday he refused his food.. Again down the vets to examine his teeth *he also appeared to be dribbling*....but everything was OK and the vets didn't seem bothered about his teeth, just his legs and joints *because they were swollen*...The good news is they took blood tests too make everything and organs were OK and that came back today - all clear, which is good... The bad news is that he might have bone cancer... I suppose the weeks or months, he was left a stray is making an impact on him now

My nan has booked him in for an x-ray on Friday..I will let you all know how it goes... I hope it's not cancer related...and it's something that he can be treating for... xxx

Wooo, got some good news.

My nan has just rang to inform us that there are no cancer cells, that showed up in the blood tests. The only thing is though, he's coming back with only 2 teeth - he's had to have 8 taken out, they caused the problem which prevented him from chewing.. Bless him..

At least there's a good outcome
