applaws food

When i ordered some applaws tins for Xito, i didn't realise that there were adult and kitten ones, so i got the adults for him, but as many of you know he'll be 13 when i'll bring him home.

Adult
Chicken Breast
75% Chicken, 1% Rice, 24% Cooking Water

Kitten - Chicken Breast
50% Chicken, 5% Egg, 3% Tuna Liver, 0.1% Fish Oil, 1.5% Sunflower Oil, 1% Rice, 39.4% Cooking Water

I have now ordered kitten ones too, but do you think i can still feed him the adult's? Is the kitten's much better?

Re: applaws food

The kitten one is better Trish, but it won't hurt your kitten to eat the other one, it's only chicken, rice & water. My kittens eat it, i've not had any problems yet

Re: applaws food

Kittens need more calories than cats due to their rapid growth!

But if you leave a complete kitten dry food down for him and give the applaws as an extra it will be fine.

Check to see how the meat is cut as well, if it's chunky then try mashing it up a little so it's easier for Xito to eat.

Alfie's a lazy buggar and doesnt chew is food so I give him the Almo Nature as it's in a pate form so he doesnt end up throwing it back up!

Re: applaws food

The kitten Applaws is like a pate The other ones may have to be cut up a bit, but I found mine coped with it ok. They spend half their time pinching their Mams food anyway, lol

Bee have you tried the Almo nature biscuits ?

No I've still got some Royal Canin Baby cat which I want to gradually switch on to the Orijen.

He LOVES the Almo kitten food, what are the biscuits like?
