Re: Flea Treatments for nursing queen??
If you don't want to / can't use any chemicals I'd suggest you look into getting some diatomaceous earth. It's a fine white powder that you can rub in the cat's fur, and add to their food. It works by dessicating the fleas and is widely used in the human food industry to keep grains etc. insect free. I've used it on my cat and it works, but it's more of a hassle than using the normal spot on flea treatments. But if it's just for a short time while she's nursing, I'd think it'd be worth it.
If you do decide to use it, make sure you check that it's safe for nursing cats. I think it is, but I haven't checked specifically and it's been a while since I researched it last.
