Talking Re: Scarf's update

Hi, - well this time last week I was beside myself.... today... still worried, but more positive...

She is happy in herself, and came out for a couple of cuddles over the w/e... she clambered up to my shoulders and sat there for a while....(her favorite position).... Purring loudly .... Not very happy to be put back in cage!

Her bodily functions are working - for want of a better word!

She is eating very well (splashed out on Sheba cat food), just hope she appreciates it...

She was really yowling htis morning and scratching at the cage to get out.... don't mind her doing it, but not at 5 in the morning!

So, all in all a good weekend from her... did have some doubts on Saturday as she was asleep a lot, but yesterday and today she has been much more awake and with us...

So all in all good progress...although I still wake up in the morning and wonder what I might find in the cage, but it's just my little Scarf, yowling at me...

may not post every day, as the progress is static at the moment, but as she develops and moves around I will let you know... Got vet coming today to check her over so that will be interesting to see if they notice a change in her.

Re: Scarf's update

Fabulous news!

To think this time last week you were almost convinced she was going to die, to have her purring on your shoulder must be the BEST feeling!

BIG HUGS! xx

Re: Scarf's update

Hi.... well another up date, she is doing fine, a lot more awake now... seems to have resigned herself to the cage although prefers to be out on her blanket near me.... Vet is coming on Monday to take her tail stitches out so that's progress.

She is doing wonderfully... Although I am nervous about letting her free... I know it's only been 2 weeks, but how do I know if her bones are fusing, or healing..., how will I know whether she is as "better" as she is going to get....
should I get another x-ray in a few weeks time, or just leave her be now..., and let her out as planed in 4 weeks... - obviously she is banned from out side!!!!

Thanks for support - without this site I think I would have put her to sleep, so keep going on and being supportive....

C x

Re: Scarf's update

I'm glad you updated

Sounds like she is doing great. I can't answer your questions but I;m sure others with experience will come along soon. Also, ask the Vet on Monday.

Re: Scarf's update

FAbulous news

Let us know what the vet says. I would be guided by their advice as to whether another sedation/anaesthetic is needed for another xray or not

Sounds like she is doing so so so well!

My cats are all indoor cats, it wont be as bad as you think xxx
