Kitten Food

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good kitten food I recently discovered Applaws at pets at home and my cat sammy who is 13 months old LOVES it she never used to eat a full bowl full of food but when I put the Applaws down she ate every bit and licked the bowl clean I was amazed but I think the reason why is its 70% meat content, I am looking for a similar type of product for my two kittens for when they are ready to go onto kitten food any one reccomend any.

Thanks

Re: Kitten Food

Applaws is great - but it's not a complete food so you will need to leave a complete food down for her.

I would be inclined to serve her human grade meat/fish as the Applaws is going down so well.

We leave Royal Canin down during the day (though we are researching alternatives at the moment), and also serve chicken/white fish/raw mince 2-3 times a day (according to the age of the kittens).

Re: Kitten Food

I feed my cats Orijen dry cat/kitten food, it's 75% meat and 25% fruit and veg. I give them raw meat instead of pouches/tins.

Re: Kitten Food

Applaws kitten food is a complete food - it has been changed recently. (did not used to be complete)

Re: Kitten Food

You could try Almo Nature, that is similar to Applaws. They make a kitten food too, which my lot prefer to the kitten Applaws

Re: Kitten Food

I feed my kittens Natures Menu Kitten meat. It's in pink packets. It's all natural and they love it Pets at Home sell it too though I get ine from a lady at our local pet shop, it's cheaper too, lol. I also feed raw mince beef, cooked white fish and chicken.
