Ragdolls eating

Hiya, long time no see!

my 2 ragdoll kitties are 6 months old and are not eating loads. They are happy and seem perfectly fine but just not eating what I would have thought.

I leav them dry food out so they can graze on it (and this does go down) and then 3 times a day give them wet food (whiskas kitten pouches).

They literally eat no more than 1.5 pouches a day between them and mostly just 1 pouch. There is almost always food left but they don't seem weak or under weight at all. This is them (eyes are close because they just woke up when I got home)

What do you guys think?

Hi Nichola Aww bless them Penny & Ringo how could i forget them (not) lol thanks for the email and pics the other day
Maybe now they are getting fed up with the wet foods if they are happy with the dry food dont give them as much wet now and maybe wean them onto dry only.
They look healthy enough so what ever your doing its great

Aaaaaw your ragdolls are so cute!
I think that as long as they are eating the dry food as well as eating 3 wet pouches between them then they are doing okay.

Re: Ragdolls eating

Thanks guys! Kynn they are doing very well indeed.

They are both full of life and more than happy, I was just wondering if I was doing dsomething wrong. They do seem to enjoy their wet food but like a lot less of it.

Thanks for advice guys!

Re: Ragdolls eating

I used to feed my cat whiskas kitten pouches but she never really ate much so when she moved to adult food, i tried felix just to see and she eats loads of wet food now. Maybe they just don't like the texture, I don't know but might be worth trying a different brand just to see?

Re: Ragdolls eating

They look lovely!

They are obviously filling up on dry and thats why they don't eat so much of the pouch food. Cats don't need to have food available all the time, I'd cut down on the dry and feed more wet (maybe introduce some higher meat content/no cereal/grains - introduce slowly to avoid tummy upsets) Which dry food are you giving them?
