Question Wound on Leg

Hi, one of my cats has a sore on his leg - I'm not sure what from - but it's not healing as he keeps scratching and licking it. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do, or should he go to the vets? Thanks x

Re: Wound on Leg

I'm usually one for going to the vets, although my own recently posted question is about some treatment I'm dubious about. With a superficial wound that isn't healing though,I would think treatment is straight forward and neglecting it may lead to futher infection and bigger problems.

Re: Wound on Leg

We took Zelda to the vets this morning as she has something on her back leg, looked like a graze or a rash. She had been scratching it so it had been bleeding and looked nasty. The vet said it's possibly an allergy, he thinks a flea allergy. He did say it could be something else but was a bit vague on the subject.

Sound like yours?

Thanks Riverwish That does sound very similar to Loki's leg sore actually. What did your vet say with regard to treating it?

Re: Wound on Leg

He thought it might have been a flea allergy so we have frontlined her today. It could happen from anything though so would be best to get her checked out
