Kitten food

Hi all , Meeka has decided she no longer likes the whiskers kitten pouches and has been picking at her food rather than eating it so I have been to pets at home and bought her some hi life kitten food which as I type she is wolfing down her neck.
my question is, is it ok to just change her food as she has only been fed whiskers from weaning to now or do i need to do it gradually?

I must admit the hi life stuff certainly looks and smells nicer lol.

thanks for reading

Louise

Re: Kitten food

Gradually, over a few weeks if possible. Maybe sooner if she dislikes Whiskas so much and has no tummy problems.

go it gradually, over a couple of weeks if possible...

Hilife is sooooo much better for her than whiskas so congrats on the change.

Re: Kitten food

Quick question, does hi life come in chunks, or is it mousse like? It's just natures menu aren't chunks and the kittens will only eat it when mixed with whiskas

Re: Kitten food

Hi-Life is sort of a thick chunky pate consistency. My kittens love it

Re: Kitten food

It's as Bellablue said lol

I have been mixing in a little hi life with the whiskers as recommended by you lovely people and she is eating the lot without pausing, it is great to see, normally she just picks at it and meows and bats me with her paw as if to say gimme something else.

I will carry on mixing it till she is on hi life properly, I'm pleased she likes it because whiskers just stinks the house out but hi life is lower in odour. Her poops are normal too so no upset tummy, must be doing it right
