Re: advice on fleas in the house!!!

Only other things I can think of are groom him with a fine toothed comb every day and if you get bitten in bed then wash all the bedding straight away. If he doesn't go out then your flea problem should be easy to solve as he won't keep on getting reinfested.

Don't feed em!!

Seriously! I had a very very bad flea infestion around thirty years back! it was before all these new preperations were available! I ended up practically fumigating the house with various sprays and potions!

But RELAX! it's not that bad now - if needbe the vet will provide you with a spray for the bedding/house/cqarpets etc! also make sure that you treat you can in the future approx every six weeks!

Re: advice on fleas in the house!!!

Hoover thoroughly, then buy some household spray: Indorex, Acclaim or Zodiac... Not a spray from the pet shop. Acclaim can be got in Boots the Chemist, the others can be bought from a vet. This will prevent the fleas breeding in your house... they don't breed on the animal, they jump off and make merry in your carpets and upholstery instead.

This will really help and lasts for up to a year.

If you wish to treat the animals for fleas then try Frontline or Effipro, both available from pharmacies and online, or consult your vet for something stronger. Again, sprays and spot-ons from pet shops really don't do the job properly.
