Smile Re: Colitis

Thanks again all, he's a little brighter but still looking at food and then refusing it.

He did eat a few James Wellbeloved biscuits last night and this morning a tiny morsel of prawn no obvious diarrhoea signs as yet since late yesterday - fingers crossed we are turning the corner.

I also had a persian that was diagnosed with PKD when she was 16 - she lived another year. Sorry if I've already told you all this... I've spoken to so many people but you have been the most helpful I am most grateful.

Re: Colitis

Mmmmmm, yummy lizard! Let's hope he won't eat any more of them! If you can do a raw diet I have heard that it can perform miracles with bad tummies.

Re: Colitis

Oh not sure he'd eat raw!!! Have to report that he is much better and only one visit to the litter late last night - he is now asking for food which is such a relief... bless, love him to bits so pleased he is better or at least getting there. Through all this, he still enjoyed his brush

Off to the vets shortly for hopefully the last visit this time around...!

Re: Colitis

Lots better today thank you, finished the anti-inflammatories and one more anti-biotic pill to take but hopefully all now well with Julio... fingers crossed the colitis doesn't resurface! We think he may have eaten yet another lizard a couple of days ago, as tails were found in the kitchen - never learn do they! The vet thought it very amusing and says that lizards are not toxic and it shouldn't cause him any problems - I'm not so sure!

Toilet is almost normal... sorry - so relieved, thanks for all your help.

Juls
