Latest update on cat with nasal bleeding

I just returned home with my cat who has had a week of radiation for nasal lymphoma tumor. Cat did very well, gained weight. I talked to her oncologist before I left. He said that radiation is so effective on her kind of cancer that he suspects it has started to shrink already. She goes back for five more days. She will have side effects that show up next week, but they have me prepared for those. For now, things look good.

Re: Latest update on cat with nasal bleeding

Thanks for the good wishes. She has a very healthy appetite, looks better, acts better than she has for a long time. She gained a pound last week, and she needed to. I don't think she has felt well since January. Our local vet did not have the means to diagnose the problem. Info that came with her said her life expectancy is 1-2 years. That is amazing. Cats are not supposed to have the severe side effects that people and dogs do. Only 5% of cats suffer side effects from radiation. I am hoping we are lucky but will do the best we can with good advice from vet hospital.

Glad to hear that things are looking better for her already - hope the side effects won't be too horrid for her.

Kind regards and sending cyber hugs with positive thoughts.
