How much to feed kitten?

Hi All

I need to order a bulk load of Royal Canin Kitten 34 (4-12 months) but need to know what the reccommended feeding amount is - does anyone know?

I have looked on the bag of food I have at home for my older cats and there doesnt seem to be a reccommended feeding amount??
And I cant remember how long it takes them to get through a 10kg bag!! LOL
I think it may be about 6 months for my 2 adult cats to get through 10kg as I have only just opened a new bag last week and i remember getting the food delivered when we moved into our new house and we have been there 6 months.

Then I can work out how much I need to order

Re: How much to feed kitten?

I always leave bowls of food down 24/7 for all of mine,as cats seldom overeat, and they eat when hungrya 10kg bag lasted me 2 weeks feeding 10/12 cats,a 10kg of royal canin kitt 34 cost me £28 from subridge.

I feed my (5ish month old) cats 90g per day (each), 45g in the morning, and 45g in the evening. That, according to the back of the pack (science plan) is correct.

You need to figure it out by their exact weight. It may be an idea to check the food companies website.

Re: How much to feed kitten?

id just order as much as you can afford, the biscuits never go off anyway! the more the merrier!

maybe about 3/4 of your average mug twice a day for a cat about 2.5kg

Re: How much to feed kitten?

In case anyone is interested I worked it out! LOL

Assumption based on 80g per cat per day (2 meals).......

560g per cat per week
2427g per cat per month
29120g per cat per year

So for 7 months worth of food (from age 4-12 months) = 16989g

As I am getting 3 kittens I will need = 50967g or 5.09 bags of 10kg food

I know someone who can get it trade price if we buy in bulk tho dave - so it works out better for us to buy all that we need in one go and store it in the loft
