sounds like my tabby moggy. She has always been fat - she too has huge eyes that look like she has mascara on. Her belly is really wobbly and she also has a fat behind like her mum

Re: How much to feed kitten?

Sorry if this is taking it slightly off-topic, but I'm getting two new kittens on Saturday and they're being fed on IAMS biscuits and Felix pouches. When got my last kittens my ex looked after the feeding of them when they were young as he wasn't working, but I'm not quite sure how much to give them. I have an automatic feeder to feed them at lunchtime, but I'm not sure whether it should be half a sachet each 3 times a day as the biscuits are down, or more... so an help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Re: How much to feed kitten?

I dont think automatic feeders are nessasary,i leave dry food down 24/7,then they eat when hungry.

Re: How much to feed kitten?

So just feed them the Felix morning and night, and leave the dry food down all through the day? That'd be much easier, and I wouldn't need to worry about something going wrong with the feeder.

(Is it wrong that I'm doing this while I'm at work because I'm far too excited about getting the kittens? )

Re: How much to feed kitten?

Yeah leaving food down is fine(as long as you havent got dogs around!)they wont get fat,and can eat when hungry. If you have problems with runny poo`s when they arrive i would knock the felix on the head!

Re: How much to feed kitten?

I agree with what Clare's said. Thats exactly what I do. Biscuit & water down 24/7. I feed meat once or twice a day. As Clare says, if they are a bit runny, stop feeding the meat. I give my kittens, raw mince beef, Natures menu, cooked chicken & white fish.
Good Luck, and make sure you post us some pikkies
