Re: How much to feed kitten?

I make it a point not to overfeed my kitten when I had one before. I only fed him once a day, but I made sure milk is readily available. I don't want an obese kitty

Milk? Surely milk would make it fat?

Re: How much to feed kitten?

cats shouldnt have cows milk as they are lactose intolerant,i think kittens should be allowed to eat as much as they want,i never measure feed just leave full bowls down 24/7

That's what I thought! I give mine a little kitten milk as a treart every now and then, but never cow milk.

I give my kittehs 45g each twice a day. They rarely eat it all though, so its just as if i used your technique!

Same here, just leave ollie with a full bowl all day, he rarely eats it if he doesnt want to but i re-fill it about 2-3times a day. As a substitute for milk i use sherlys kitten milk Its yummy according to Ollie and even though hes weaned he likes it as a treat This wont cause him any harm will it?

As long as it is cat / kitten milk and only as a treat it will be fine
Its actually quite fattening for them which is why it should only be given as a treat

I spoil my cats

only once a week though mind, they either get milk, chicken and rice, or tuna and rice
