Re: 8 week old kitten

My kitten is loving his dry food but still wont eat wet. So it looks like a dry food diet it is. He still wont drink water so I have to add a drop of kitten milk.

Re: 8 week old kitten

That seems really odd that your kitty won't take the water still! mine sneezed in it a bit when they first had it but they love to drink it, usually out of the dog bowl. Have you tried making the water warm like body temperature (if in doubt dip ur elbow in it like a baby bath) I know cats don't like cold things... I guess your milk isn't always heated up but it is thicker and probably more tempting to smell * also are you leaving it down or just giving him water at mealtimes? cos I would just leave it somewhere he knows where it is and he'll prob sneak in and have some when you're not looking xxx
In fact that's probably the thing... if it's cold out of the tap it won't necessarily be to a cat's taste. at least let it reach room temperature before offering it i reckon xx

I would probably dilute his milk with a bit of water Glad he's eating now.

Re: 8 week old kitten

Just thought I would post an update on Nando. I have just been giving him dry food as he wouldnt have any wet food no matter what brand it was..lol. Went to p@h and I picked a tin of the applaws chicken with cheese and the purely kitten pouches to give it one last try of wet food. Anyhow he gulped the applaws food down in minutes and he has eaten 2 pouches of the purely food. So now I will feed him on his dry food as usual and will give him 1 pouch of food in the evening. He likes the purely range from p@h as he has the dry food from their range.
