Why not get a can of Indorex or Acclaim tomorrow and spray your house, then the fleas will no longer be able to breed. No prescription needed, and it's worth doing until you see your vet for something to put on the animals.

Re: fleas...

Cool Don't expect immediate results as it may take a few days to break the flea breeding cycle but it will help a great deal, and should be effective for months.... then if your dog brings in any more they won't cause a problem as they won't be able to breed.

Re: fleas...

Commercial flea treatment is incredible toxic and won't do your animals a bit of good. Get to the root of the problem and start feeding raw food. This eliminates fleas totally or to a minimum level.

Frontline doesnt work on my cats fleas anymore which is why i swapped to advantix. I agree with the other poster you should get something for the house, and then pop to the vets for your prescription of advantix.

Thats what i use, i swear by it. We seem to have mutant fleas here and they wont be killed with any old spray.

To the other poster about the diet... i already feed barf, it wont kill fleas though!

Now that is a good read, thanks

My cat has been on the BARF diet a few weeks now. I went to worm/ flea treat him the other day with the stuff you put on the back of their neck? ... .. his coat is now so thick and glossy it was near impossible to part it to find enough skin to put the drops on, lol and i put this down to the BARF diet 100%

You will still have to treat for Tapeworm though - common in cats that hunt or eat raw food. Tapeworms can also be passed on by fleas.

Re: fleas...

yes revolution does not cover tape worm, although my cats are indoor, dont hunt or eat raw food and are constantly treated for flea prevention, the risk of them contracting tape worm is very low, but it wont hurt taking something for tape worms to once in a while.

Re: fleas...

well ive had to use frontline spray today because my nursing mother and 2 week old kittens had them. we have just done the treatment, just hope the little systems can handle it. Also got the Indorex, ive thrown out the bedding, and put new bedding down, and sprayed it, is this right? They are in my living room, so need to spray carpet too but my husband has got asthma , so a bit worried about that. Ive sprayed the area the nursing box is in for now will have to do rest tomorrow.

Do I need to throw spray out after use? or can I use it again?
