Re: am I feeding him enough
As he is eating dry food and its down all the time then I wouldnt worry how many pouches he eats. However if he ate nothing but wet food then yes he should be eating around 3/4 pouches.

Re: am I feeding him enough
My girl is erm.. 19/20 weeks and she can eat 3/4 pouches per day. No dry food. She absolutely point blank refuses it . I have now tried every make on the market.
Wet food it is! ![]() |

Re: am I feeding him enough
wow i guess I didnt realise how filling dry food is! Mario loves the dry food, hes not really keen on whiskers but it was on offer so got 2 boxes of pouches :/ big mistake, he prefers wet cat food like purely or hilife, i dont blame him but i wish he would finish the whiskers lol

Re: am I feeding him enough
If you feel anxious about feeding many vets offer a free weigh - in service usually conducted by the vet nurses.
Get him weighed once a month and that should reassure you. (For an adult cat, as long as there is food at regular times and they appear healthy and energetic i wouldn't worry too much about keeping to the manufacturer's advice on consumption. I would worry if they got overweight though) |
