Unhappy signs of cat flu??

my cat is 21 (nearly 22) and over past 2 days she keeps coughing and making like sneezing noises, im just wondering what are the signs of cat flu and do you think this sounds like it?! i dont want to stress her out by taking her to vet over nothing (if it is) because last time i took her they wanted me to have her PTS! they said shes to old to be sedated and because shes a really agressive cat they said if they was to examine her they would need to sedate her and cos of her age she would prob die so they said best thing is to PTS! well that was nearly a year ago and all has been fine up till now! i dont know if its just the puppy stressing her or out or what?!
any advice would be really appreciated. thanks
xx

Re: signs of cat flu??

She could be stressed out because of the pup, i'm not to sure about cat flu, i guess there could be a chance.

As for the vets saying have her pts, i have been told the same about mine in the past if she was to be sedated cause she is quite aggressive but they managed it with a differant vet so i would take her to see a vet but get a vdifferant vet.

Hope your puddy gets better soon.

Re: signs of cat flu??

Danni-stress can bring about the some symptoms such as the ones your describing and a simple course of antibiotics should sort things out-cat flu isn't nice at all but doesn't have to be fatal or totally horrible,i'm sure she'll be fine-good luck

I agree, get her on anti biotics, try and keep her away from the puppy if that is poss. Has the puppy had vaccinations against it???

think il see how she is tomorrow
thanks for the advice
