Kitten to Adult food!

I have an 8 month old kitten called Coco.
She seems to not want her kitten food as much as she used to.
Do you think its okay to put her onto adult food now?

Yes, most of our kittens go off kitten food long before that. I don't know why, perhaps the adult food is tastier?

Re: Kitten to Adult food!

At what age did yours go off kitten food? I thinking mine may be now I have read this. They have one pouch between them in the morning and one in the evening with dry down all day and quite a few times I seem to throw away at least half of the wet (all variations of 60-80% meat) and they are eating more of the Hill's kitten kibbles.

I am looking forward to when I can change them over to adult food but was not intending to do that until they were at least 1 years old. The choice is considerable when it comes to decent wet food in adult versions rather than kitten ones.

They are 7 months next week.

Re: Kitten to Adult food!

Apparently kitten food has only been around for about 15 years and as we all know cats have been around for a lot longer than that so its not a huge problem as long as they are getting what they need.

Re: Kitten to Adult food!

Normal cat food is alot cheaper too and there is much more choice.
I had a problem though, last night i gave my kitten some adult biscuits but not adult food and this morning i woke up to a room full of diarrhea and mess. Poor baby, do you think its just the change of food or something else?
