Alfie being sick, still!

Hi, as I said in recent post Alfie (15 wk old kitten) is being sick every morning at 3.30am, on the dot, and makes alot of heaving noises to make sure I'm awake to clean it.. nice!

Last week nothing was really coming up so I wormed him, which stopped the vomiting for 2 days but now back to throwing up at the same times only he's bringing up his food now.

I'm feeding him Felix Pouches (Kitten) and Royal Canin Kibble (Baby Cat). It does seem to be the Felix he's bringing up... do you think it's the food upseting him or something else?

It's jst wierd how it's the same time every night!

Re: Alfie being sick, still!

felix Gave my cats the squits! its cr** food. i would suggest you get a zoom groom and some hair ball paste. some times my cats (rarely) are sick at night coz they groom when i'm asleep then when they are moulting such as now coz of the change in the weather i know i need to remove the excess shedding. maybe you should get the vet to check him over?

Re: Alfie being sick, still!

Hi Bee

Try something quite bland like cooked chicken or cooked white fish (coley) for a day or two (alongside the Babycat) and then reintroduce either the Felix or perhaps Whiskas kitten wet food.

Re: Alfie being sick, still!

yeh think i may have to ditch the pouches! that's what the breeder has had him on so he still demands them all the time!

I don't eat meat so never have it in the house, so may try cooking some for Alfie if it will help. Is there a certain way to cook it for kittens/cats?

the Zoom groom costs bout £5 i got it from my local pet shop. i also get defurrum hair ball paste from there too. i would also recommend from personal experience switching to royal cannin intense hairball when alfie is a year old. i buy cod or coley portions 6in a box from tesco, i steam 1 of them in the micro twice a week for 3half mins and allow half hour to cool.

Re: Alfie being sick, still!

Probably a daft question, but to steam in the microwave do you just put the fish in a bowl, or do you need to add water or put cling film over it?
Iam a c**p cook!
