New Kitten

I had a new kitten from the cat rescue yesterday. She was like a lunatic all day and so happy running around and get up to all kinds of mischief. Today she ate all her food this morning and then about an hour later she threw the lot up. Shes been sick 3 times altogether even though she seems fine in herself. Shes now fast asleep on her blanket. Shes 12 weeks old and I've noticed she hasnt used her litter tray yet. I did notice yesterday that she seemed bloated. I was wondering if this is just a stress thing being in a new environment or what? I shall keep my eye on her and if she seems poorly Monday I'll take her to the vets!

Re: New Kitten

I would keep a close eye on her and take her to the vet as soon as you can.

It could well be stress of a new environment but it sounds like it needs checking out and it's always best to be safe than sorry.

Re: New Kitten

This morning she seems so much better..I brought her litter tray into the room where her bed and food is and she went on it straight away..This I was told not to do so it just shows doesnt it? I gave her a little chopped up cooked chicken last night which she has kept down and this morning she has had a proper feed..I'm still taking her to the vets though as I need her checked out!
Thanks to everyone that replied...This forum is brilliant!

Re: New Kitten

My sisters siamese gets regularly constipated and boy does she let you know about it! lol She blows up like a balloon and makes a typical siamese unhappy noise. So my sister gives her some tuna in oil and that usually helps.
