Re: Right............scary problem here

This is a 5 month old kitten but I am treating her and three others for campylobacter at the moment ( diareeahoa) so the two things do connect. I thought year 7 of breeding was supposed to be lucky 7! been nothing but doom and gloom up to now

Re: Right............scary problem here

Well we're probably talking yet another expensive operation, and they wonder why we ask so much for pedigree kittens. Still my main priority is to make sure my babies are all healthy, so hope they can treat her ok

Re: Right............scary problem here

Kitten has gone into emergency vets this morning and is having an op today. The vet said there would be no guarantee of the outcome being successful so to prepare for the worst Without being too graphic, he has to get the prolapsed rectum back in and stitch up the anus enough to stop it coming back out but not too much to stop poo coming out.

Will give you all an update when I know how it has gone

Re: Right............scary problem here

Hi Chrissy

This is ongoing with one of my Bengals, but the problem is, she's been under observation and the vets never see the poop shute bulging out. It goes in, and pops back out again. In the meantime she is dripping poo everywhere. It's frustrating. At least you're getting yours operated on. Good luck for the op to you and your lady, and keep us updated.

x

Thanks Nicola xxx. Has your bengal with it not had the op then, I'm just wondering if it will keep popping out after she's had it done I was so shocked when I first saw it, was like a big red sausage
