Hi everyone my cat started drooling yesterday when I was playing with him.I am just wondering is this normal? he seems healthy I just want some confirmation from the experts

Sounds to me like you're cat was just really really happy that you played with him hence the drooling. One of the cats that comes to visit us goes absolutely crazy with the drool when OH is stroking her (kitchen roll at the ready!)

Unless your kitty was drooling constantly for no particular reason I'd say he just loves you and the games you play!

Yup, some cats drool when they are very happy.

Some cats can also drool because of nausea but if this were the case he would be not feeling well and off of his food.

Administration of an over the counter flea product can cause drooling too. Or a tooth infection could cause drooling.

But probably he's just a happy guy!

I've read somewhere that drooling may also have a more serious cause than just the cat being happy. Aside from nerve, mouth and teeth problems, it could be due to some kidney dysfunctions, which is more common to older cats. How old is your cat by the way? I have an art professor who has this geriatric cat who drools a lot, it just sits there with drool dripping from its mouth, it's kinda freaky. I suggest u have your cat checked by the vet if this drooling becomes more frequent.
