Re: Nasal bleeding in cat

I hope she continues to enjoy herself and this problem resolves itself very quickly.

Re: Nasal bleeding in cat

Update on nasal bleeding:
A week has passed. All cultures, x-rays were negative, but cat is still having discomfort. I took her up to our vet on call last Saturday at 6 AM, as she was having trouble breathing. I am told that it is all in her sinuses. I am now giving her steam treatments in my bathroom in her carrier to keep things loose. She is eating fairly well, seems to be able to sleep comfortably. However, she has a bloody discharge coming from both nostrils. She sneezes very hard when she is eating, and that seems to cause the bleeding. I was told to give her nose drops neosynephrine. Now I am concerned that I should have diluted it, hope I didn't make things more irritated.

She has an appointment at our university vet clinic on Tuesday. I am sure hoping they can help her. It is an hour and a half drive. She usually vomits all the way up, will be stressful for her with the difficulty breathing too. I will post the results the specialists give us.
