Unhappy Middle Ear Syndrome

Can anyone help??

My tabby cat who is 14 years old the end of this year has been diagnosed by the vet to having this problem..

It started 1 week & half ago, she has been give Antrobe? tablets and ear drops..

Last week she seemed to be a lot better so i assumed the tablets must be working, as she was suffering with disorientation and kept walking round in circles and shaking her head...

On Monday (just gone) she seemed to go down hill again, her balance is really suffering, she seems disorientated again and even though she is eating she is putting her two front paws into her food & water bowls when she eats, like it's helping her balance or something! She won't venture outside either!

I took her back to the vet yesterday, when they said this could take 4-6 weeks to clear up, they gave me more of the same tablets and drops!

I not sure if this sympton is causing this problem and that it may be something worse, how can she go from being better and then at a drop of a hat be worse again when it looked liked the tablets were working!

She seems to be in a total daze and she always purs when shes cuddled and she not even doing that, I am really worried!

Has anyone's pet suffered with this?

Many thanks

Lisa
