Cat having toilet problems

Hi all.

I was hoping you guys could please help me with a problem my cat is having.

I noticed yesterday evening that she was outside trying to go to the toilet. She was staying in the same position for a few minutes as if she was going for a number 2 (for a lot longer than usual), and she was not able to go. She then tried again somewhere else a few times, but still, nothing.

She ate dinner and breakfast this morning as usual, but she did not appear to be very happy this morning. She meowed a few times and just looked kind of lethargic. She tried to go again this morning, but yet again was unable to.

I have no idea if she has managed to go for a number one or not.

I am worried about her, and not sure if it is constipation or perhaps something else, and what to do about it.

Can anyone please advise me what might be wrong and what I can try to resolve it??

Re: Cat having toilet problems

ok i have not had this problem with my cat but when my dog was pregnant was advised after she had pups to give her cod liver oil which helps her go to the loo as when she had first litter she had problems and wanted to avoid it this time round, it worked brilliantly , i expect you can give this to your cat, but not 100 percent sure so best to ask a professional or google it but for my dog , great!! Hope you get it sorted ok.

Re: Cat having toilet problems

Hello.
I had the same problem with one of my cats a few months ago.
I would call the vet and explain they may want to just check her over...
