Kitten to adult food HELP
Hi all
I'm new to the forum and have my first question already. Our 12 month old kitten Ollie had been on whiskers kitten food gravy and jelly with no problems. When he turned a year old last month we very slowly (over a two week period) transferred him onto Iams adult cat food. He normally goes for a poo outside so i can only assume its always been like this since the change over but he has a mild diarrhoea which can only be cause by the food. Any advice would be appreciated. Do i keep him on this for a little longer? Change and if so what to? Put him back on the kitten food for a bit longer? Ant x |

Re: Kitten to adult food HELP
How much slower? i introduced it over 14 days (28 feeds) by adding a tiny amount of the new food and then reducing/ adding until he was weaned onto the adult food.
Thanks A. |

Okay, well you've done it correctly. I would now change the food if it is still giving him diarrhoea.

![]() So i guess its just trail and error and introducing a new food slowly to see if it works for him? I've put him on freshly cooked white fish for the next few days. His poor little tummy bless him. Any recommendations as to a food? |

Re: Kitten to adult food HELP
Hi-life, Natures Menu, Applaws (though this is only complimentary), Tesco's finest, Bozita, Potia 21 (from Zooplus.com), anything that is 60%+ meat will do him wonders. (Whiskas and Felix are only 4% meat), for dry try Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved or Orijen. Or for the ultimate feeding experience for you and your cat - raw.

Misty has a sensitive tummy and we are trying Just Nature Pate from Tesco, hence me not answering your post earlier, I dashed out for more, it is free of wheat, dairy and colours and preservatives. So I am hopeful this will be the food for her. ![]() Best of luck with Ollie. |

Me neither on the RC front but like you I know others who swear by it and it's got to be better than GO-cat etc! Where can I get the other you mention wet and dry (I use JWB cos they eat it)?
