First inoculations

Hiya

Jinxy has an appointment on Wed to get his first inoculations done. Am i right in thinking it is better him not having to much to eat before getting them done? and also we will be going on the bus to the vet (the bus stop is right opposite the vet when we get off)

Thanks if anyone can reply (also if there is any other advice that would be helpful please feel free to say lol!)

x

Re: First inoculations

I think it okay for them to eat for inoculations it is different if they are having an op, then you need to withhold food in the morning.

I am also in Scotland and I have been calling round for prices for vaccinations and £50 seems to be the price in most places, although I did manage to find a vet who charges £42.20.

Hiya,

I took Tigger in to the vets to get his eyes looked at last week and before I knew it the Vet had convinced me to get his vaccinations done there and then.

He'd eaten like a horse before we left (no change there then lol) so I don't think you need to worry about fasting jinxy.

I paid £60 odd pounds so the price you were quoted sounds quite good.

All the very best for Wednesday!! Sure jinxy will be a trooper and cope very well!

We just phoned the one vet, we choose that one cause they were very good with my parents dogs, so we know our cat would be in good hands. Thanks for saying it is about the average price

I am glad it does not affect their appetite, i know with my girls when they got their jabs done when they were all babies, they were sleep and it affected their appetite (but i know cats are not human lol!! have to keep reminding myself )

Hope everything is OK with Tiggers eyes.
Thanks Rabea

Yeah, they're fine thank goodness - was just being an overanxious cat 'mum' I think.

I put a post on under your 'what a fright' thread yesterday but it seems to have gone now (v. strange)

Just wanted to say that the Harness shld hopefully get to you today as posted it on friday. Was going to send it next day but the PO wanted £7 for that. Not being tight but thought that was a bit of a silly price

Not at all tight! thanks very much for sending it. I am in most of the day today (asides taking my eldest to nursery, but my hubby will be here).

Glad to hear Tiggers eyes are OK.

Re: First inoculations

He may be a little tired and off his food after the jabs. It can last around 24 hours and then he should be as right as rain.
