Re: First inoculations

I think I'm living in the wrong place as I just paid out £69 each for first vacs fro Charlie and Lola!

As stated Jinxy may feel a little under the weather for a day or two, just tha same as when babies have their vaccinations.

Very expensive but obviously much better to be done. Should really be a standard price though i think, all over the UK x

Re: First inoculations

Just thought i would update and say he got on fine, he has another appointment in three weeks time, we got givin worm stuff for free to.
He was a little bit anxious in the carry crate at points, but i really think he did so well! I wish we had a car, so there would be no fussing about with the bus though.

He is sleeping this now, ate something as soon as he came in lol

Thanks again for all your messages

xx

Re: First inoculations

Well done Elaine!

Just caught this thread...glad Jinxy has started his vaccinations.

With worming, I use Stronghold on Piglet every 4 weeks....I buy it in packets of 3. It's just the liquid on the back of his neck.

He doesn't go outside, but I'm still to the letter of every date with it as I don't want any risk of worms or fleas, and, as Molly comes in and out, I don't want him being vulnerable.

I have a calendar in my kitchen that I put the stickers on ( you get them with the Stronghold) so I know exactly when he is due. Same with Molly.
Get a calendar if u don't have one, then u know Jinxy is always up to date.

I don't know how far it is to your vet's, but is a taxi too expensive? Just a thought if you feel scared on the bus, although, I don't think it will do Jinxy any harm at all.

Hope he is well. xx

Thanks Keeley, we will be at pets at home on Friday at latest Saturday so i will get the stronghold then
A taxi would cost about £6 or so i think, but i hope it was more of a case of 'first time' anxiousness, but we will take him on the bus again and see how he is, but if he is like that again, then it will be a taxi i will get

Jinxy is fine, he has slept a little more i think through the day, but has had something to eat and drink, so guessing thats a good sign xx
