sphynx

Hello everybody!

I´m living on London only 3 months ago. I have a Sphynx and I´m not sure how to care her skin. It´s very sensible and this days she has something like alergic spot that after turns in wounds, when she scratch. Any suggestion about what could it be and how to heal her?

In the oder and, I am living in Elephant & Castle, anybody know a good veterinarian in this area?

Waiting for your answer

Thanks a lot for your help

Re: sphynx

Iam guessing your not english?

I dont know that much about the sphynx, but I do beleive you have to bathe them weekly to get rid of some of the oils, and keep there claws clipped so they dont injur themselves. Ive also heard of wiping them over with a shammy leather. If thats any help to you.

sorry, I have no Idea where elephant & castle is? try looking up vets on yell.com

Re: sphynx

Hi and welcome,

I can't help you much I'm afraid, I've never had a sphinx and I don't live in South London.

I think Sphinx's are gorgeous though, try this site as a starting place:

Good luck

Re: sphynx

Here are a list of vets supposedly in Elephant & Castle Find Vets in and around Elephant & Castle » Yell.com although judging by the post codes they are scattered.

It does sound like your cat may have some kind of allergy, especially if bathing doesn't help, so a vet visit is definitely in order.

Try some aloe vera gel on her sores until you can get her there. Its very soothing and should help stop her scratching at them.
