Kitten Spaying Op

Morning, my little Kitten is now 6 months and his having her spaying op on Friday and was wondering if anyone could give me any pre and after op advice?

Does she need an empty stomach before the op?

Yes she does. Your vet should really have told you this. It is usually procedure to drop them off in the morning and collect them later.

She will be a bit sleepy afterwards. The vet may give you pain-killers for afterwards. Give her lots of cuddle and attention.

Thanks for the reply, when should I last feed her? 12 hours before the op?

Don't worry she will be getting lots of attention

If you can avoid a Friday op. I would do so. If there are post op. issues then unless you go to the vets 1st thing Sat AM you have to wait until Monday unless you pay the emergency fees.

I would recommend a Monday op. day as then you have easy access in case of post op. issues at normal vet fees. However, if your insurance covers stuff like this then no probs.
