my two boys bobby and booboo are now 8 months old and there still eating for england . when can i start feeding them adult food .
its that theres always specials on felix or whiskas adult but very rarely on kitten .
also what is the difference in kitten and adult food.... is it that the kitten food is more smaller pieces .

Not sure what the difference is with the foods but I adopted a cat a few months ago and when he got to 11 months I started him on the adult.
For those few weeks I bought him the kitten food he eat his and then he went to the other bowls and eat theirs and never had an tummy upsets.
Has us said they eat for England.
Mine still does and here's one now!
What you could do is give them adult food for one meal and then kitten food for their second meal of the day.
When i feed the street cats in Turkey the kittens join in and they all seem to thrive on adult food.

I switched Jasper to adult food gradually after he was neutered so at about 6 months. He still has kitten dry food though (I just leave a bowl down for him to snack on in the day).

I think it would be fine to feed your kittens adult food but be sure to mix it together when you start and mix it together for at least a week if not a little longer. You could start with 3/4 kitten food and 1/4 adult cat food. And after 4 or 5 days, do 1/2 and 1/2 and then move to 3/4 adult, and 1/4 kitten. I had some feral kittens that couldn't eat the kitten food and so they went right on adult food at the age of 4 months, so yours should be just fine.

Mine have been on adult since about 7 months. Even before then, it was the occassional adult food as well. Now, at 10months the only kitten stuff one of the two has is using up Hills kitten.

I think a good quality food is more important than whether it's kitten or adult once they have been neutered.

Wet they have mainly Tesco lamb just nature trays, sometimes turkey, and once a day share a pouch of Natures Menu adult. Kibble is Orijen and Hills kitten for one, and the other has Hills indoor (cuddly boy who gets hairballs )

Kitten food is a money making gimmick!!!!!!

And wet food wise it's very limiting, with not many different flavours, etc to try if they're fussy.

Kitten food is a money making scam preying on the gullible nature of well intentioned cat owners.

Ask yourselves, what did kittens eat before the pet food manufacturers created this racketeering con on cat owners?
