Bozita Food - help with amounts

Hi

After postin yesterday about a good quality light food to move my cat onto Bozita was suggested as a good quality food with no added grains etc.

I have had a look on zooplus and am very impressed with the sound of it and the reviews. The only thing that is confusing me is their recommended daily amounts. For a 4kg cat they say 450g per day which seems like a lot of food to me - is there a reason why they would need more of this type of food compared to other brands?

My cat currently has one 100g pouch of obesisty food in the morning, one for lunch and half a pouch for tea. So 250g in total (but syaing that she still seems starving most the time - bless her)

I am trying to work out costs but it's hard because with Bozita I don't know if I would need to feed her more of it than a regular cat food.

Anyone who has used the Bozita wet food tetra paks I would really appreciate your advice.

Thanks
dinks

Hello,

I use Bozita and I put out about half a carton with each feed, my boys get fed Bozita first thing in the morning and last thing at night with dried down all day. Its a very good food and they have done so well with it.

Hope it goes well.

Izzie

Re: Bozita Food - help with amounts

Thanks Izzie

Is that half a carton between both of them? So for one cat would be a quarter of a carton (just under 100g or so)? I was just concerned that if I stuck to her current amounts of 100g morning and afternoon and 50g in evening she would be getting far less than they recommended on the Bozita packaging.

I was just worried there was an actual reason why you needed to give them more of the Bozita food!

I am very tempted to order some and try it on her. She has been fussy in the past (turning her nose up at Hills tinned food). she has always eaten normal standard pouches such as Felix, Sainsbury's before she went on the Royal Canin obesity.

Thanks

I use Bozita. I have 3 cats - 2 Maine Coon and a moggy. All 3 go out during the day.

I use Butchers Classic with Bozita so that they get half'n'half. Butchers Classic is available from Sainsbury, Asda, Wlikinsons and Waitrose (fish only). It costs about £4.50 for 12*400gm tins. It does not have additives.

I feed morning and evening - no dry out. For 3 cats I use half Bozita pouch and half a tin of Butchers between them all.

About 4 days a week they get chicken wings and other sundry raw meats but only one of them is really into the raw - the others pick at it.

Hi,

Sorry I should have said half a box each so pretty much a box for every meal. You could complement it with another food like butchers which someone else mentioned, its a very good food.

We also use almo nature and applaws. Occasionally a bit of raw food too. We get the frozen meats which they really love.
