Worming?

Fizz was due to be wormed about 4 weeks ago, but I couldn't as she was pregnant. Is it safe to worm her whilst she is nursing her kittens? When should I worm the kittens? I have ready this should be every fortnight from 2 weeks old

I usually use Drontal tablets, but looking online it appears I am paying my vet double the price from what I could be paying online Does anyone buy their worming/flea treatments online or is it better to get from the vet?

Thanks again,
Nic x

Re: Worming?

Hi Nic, my cat had her kittens 4 weeks ago and I got a worming paste in a syringe called panncur and I gave it to mum and kittens at 2 weeks and then again at 4 weeks and will do kittens again at 6 and 8 weeks. You will need tp prise the kittens mouths open and squeeze it right into the back of the throats. With mum I just put into her food like I normally do with the worming tablets! Hope this helps x

I think the company who make the worming tablets put around that rumour!

To be honest we've started getting most of our medicines online, the problem is that you need a prescription from the vet for most of them and the vet charges £10 for that. Anything that doesn't need a prescription is a no brainer really.

What annoys me is that you need a prescription for Profender, the spot on worm treatment....anyone who owns Bengals will know how important that is! You also need a prescription for the strong Frontline stuff but we normally use the one that doesn't require a prescription.
