Help, Pregnant Cat looks ready to drop!

hiya, I would like to know as quick as pos the following:-

what are the immediate signs a cat is about to give birth?
My cat is due anyday and is now mewing lots and in a different tone.
She's walked off upstairs now... any ideas?
There was some gunk that just came from outta her hole.... We lifted up her tail and her backend is, (how do i say this, errr ... Pulsating) ??? Im all excited, lol...

Well at 6pm out popped one then fifteen minutes later out came another, she busy licking them clean, almost puked when she started to eat the plasenta and the cord didnt snap so easy so she spent a few minutes eating her way through that.
