its not big enough to be seen on a photo to be fair, and with him been black you cant see the black whiskers on a photo.....

Its gone down a lot...almost hardly there, but he wont let me look properly to see if the whiskers have gone, im waiting for him to go to sleep in a good position for me to look, as i rang the vet and they would like me to check it again before i book him in as it may have gone on its own

I hope it has gone, sounds like it may be a tic.

I didnt realise a tic would do that. How do ticks do that? lol
would it have been under the skin? where has it gone now?
ive had a quick feel while hes playing and i cant feel it, but he wont settle for me to check it properly as hes in full swing play mode at the moment, im trying to tire him out, but he has more energy than me today! lol

Re: found a lump

Tics bury their head under the skin and suck the blood out of the animal. The body of a tic swells as it fills with the blood and if it gets knocked off sometimes it leaves the head under the skin and all you can see is little black feelers sticking out.

im unsure of what to do as its not hurting him and the swelling has gone down from yesterday, but the black things are still there.

Re: found a lump

When a tic is intact the way i remove them is to smear vasaline around it as close to the skin as poss and this suffocates the tic and it lets go and all comes away. Or you can gently twist it out. Sometimes if the head gets left behind it can cause an infection under the skin.

I agree if you take him to get it checked it will at least give you some knowledge in case there is a next time. Worth the trip if it puts your mind at rest.
