Morning Diarrhoea

Hey guys - I'm new here!
In January my cat turned 1 years old.

Recently, just in the mornings, he has been having awful diarrhoea... It is somewhat... explosive (sorry!). We haven't changed his food, and he's been going out for a good couple of months now. He has also stopped using his litter tray, he won't even pee in it, so monitoring his toilet habits is really difficult.

He went to the vets a couple of days ago for a booster injection, but the diarrhoea had stopped then (until this morning). The vet basically told us to watch him.

Is there anything else we can do? I really want him to start using his litter tray again so some help with this would be great!
Should we keep him in for a couple of days and see if he gets better?

Yes Sarah, keep him in and also if he isn't already, put him on a light diet of white chicken, fish and see how he goesIt could be a tummy bug or he may be pinching naughty foods whilst out on his travels

Re: Morning Diarrhoea

Jack is so so so lactose intolerant, that he absolutely cannot have even a drop of milk. Sometimes we give him cat milk, which he does like (but I've found he won't eat if he drinks it?!)

I'm hoping it's not someone else giving him milk - I'd be very upset to learn that my neighbours were doing this considering I live in a very cat-ty neighbourhood.

Re: Morning Diarrhoea

Jack has been on a diet of dry food only since we picked him up at 7 weeks.
He has James Wellbeloved (adult) - the vet said this would be really good for him, even if he has an upset stomach.

He hasn't been allowed out this morning, and there has been no diarrhoea - it must be something outside. I've just noticed a cage in a neighbours garden possibly housing birds or rodents (damn fence in the way).... If, somehow, Jack is managing to get their food could this be the cause of his Diaorrhoea?
