Re: Gravy
Ours does the same! It is so annoying! We tend 2 mush it up at the moment so he has no choice!
He also will eat one brand of food(different flavours) for one pack of pouches then when you buy a 2nd box he won't eat it! The cats at work end up with it. I'll be interested to hear what people say, might help out here ![]() *Heidi*

However, the gravy bit is easy its best if you start with a chicken carcass (left over from your sunday roast) boil it up in a large pan with water for about 40 mins (you can do this with wings, drumsticks or breast if you don't have access to a caracss). Remove the chicken from the water and remove all the meat from the bones. Throw all the cooked bones away as they are very brittle and will damage a cats stomach. Put the meat back in the broth and bring up to the boil. Add a couple of satchets of gelatin (available from the bakery section of the supermarket. Stir and let cool. Better than than just feed the chicken and fish to the cat from the packet with the skin on and the bones in.

Re: Gravy
Gizmo used to just lick the gravy off but would eat all of food in jelly so I just stopped buying ones in gravy. These days he eats pretty much anything
. Mai Tai is now on raw meat which she loves and we've had no tummy problems at all, As soon as Gizmo has finished his last couple of pouches of HiLife he'll be having raw too - he eats anything left in Mai Tai's dish anyway ![]() |

Re: Gravy
Hiay my cats do they same but they come back later for the meat, do you leave yours down long enough?
Are you switching it too often as they will think 'oo I can get away with this as she just gives us new stuff!' ![]() Cooked chicken & fish isnt a very good diet really as said above, you would be better off feeding raw and mixing it up with a packet of gravy & leave it if they dont eat it offer them nothing else and do the same the next day. they wont starve and trust me their 'protest' wont last long!

Re: Gravy
I've just been trying to find something that they like, and stick to! I have always tried to feed the higher meat content brands, as I don't like the thought of them eating some brands that are full of god knows what! I have this morning received some Forthglade that I ordered. May just put this down and keep feeding - I'm sure they'll eat it eventually!
![]() I put meat down before I go to work and most of it's there when I get home at 3pm. I do notice, however, that they tend to eat more at dinner time. This may have something to do with the fact that they are in sleeping most of the day, but are in and out from when I come home until about 10pm. There is always a big bowl of dried food down. Perhaps I should just chose what they eat and be done with it!!! ![]()
