I will put the Orijen in the auto feeder for when we are away, and will mix the Bozita with Science Plan pouches for now, until Logi is used to it. Then finally my 2 cats will both be on the same diet of Bozita! (fingers crossed!)

I chose this because it's appears to have good ingredients, has good reviews, and doesn't claim to be specifically for a certain age or type of cat. This fits with my inkling that a decent food would really suit any age cat, just like what they would eat naturally!

Let's just hope this works out ok, otherwise it's back to the drawing board!

(Will take a look into getting some slippery elm too, especially as it sounds fab! lol. Where should I get that from?)
Goodluck sounds like you've made a sensible choice, i hope it works.

Re: Cat food confusion! (sorry to post ANOTHER food thread!)

I also had another thought as to narrowing down what is making Logi suffer with his tummy.

when we had similar problems, we had to starve Siegfried for 24 hours, to allow him to clean his bowels out of all the upset, before gradually introducing the RC Sensitive diet. This worked brilliantly. We have had upset tummys after this, but usually when he had stolen banned foodstuffs (you name it, he wants it as long as it's human food!) and the RC diet has sorted him out within 24 hours. It might be worth trying a starvation period if he is continually suffering an upset tum.

Good luck.

Re: Cat food confusion! (sorry to post ANOTHER food thread!)

Thanks Cody, I think we might try this, and tie it into when he has to be snipped next week seeing as he can't have food from the night before anyway. That might just be long enough to clear his system out. He has a particularly bad poop night last night where he missed the tray and it went over the carpet. Was like thick chocolate sauce!

Have you any idea where I can get a box of the RC sensitive food online? Most the places I've seen are for orders of about 48 pouches. Not ideal as I just want to try him on it. I've ordered some other food to try but I'm going to mix any new stuff in with the Hills pouches as he has been ok on these in the past.

ah.. that's a good point - I tend to buy 60 pouches at a time.

Might be worth emailing VioVet on ebay (always been reliable with me) to see if they can send you 1 box of 12 pouches.

eBay UK Shop - HairySpiderProducts: Hairy, Spider, Products

lt me know how you get on - Sig's poos were like chocolate sauce too... and usually spread over his bed, skirting board and carpet.... yuk.

I found this sensitive cat food great for Oscar (burmese)

Integra Canned Cat Food at zooplus

except he doesn't like the turkey one any more just the lamb.

Huge for Royal canin Sensitivity control chicken for my elderly cat with Chronic renal failure and hyperthyrodism. get mine in bulk from local vet and get a substantial discount 15% for bulk purchase (ie 96 pouches an order). If you want a couple of sachets for a trial then i am sure your vet would oblige
Good Luck
PS. she wont touch the duck flavour.

Re: Cat food confusion! (sorry to post ANOTHER food thread!)

Thanks Whistler for the heads up on Royal Canin.. I've ordered the smallest amount I could find from an online seller - but that happens to be 36! Annoyingly, it's of the duck one, as I read somewhere this was easier to digest than chicken (can't remember where I found that info now tho! Will just have to hope that Logi gets on with it better than yours!
He's never not eaten anything we've tried, so I don't think he's too fussy. He's not had the squits for a couple of days, so fingers crossed he is on the mend!

Aww that's really sweet of you. I'd really appreciate that. Although I'm sure Logi will literally eat anything he finds, (he ate old carrot peelings and kiwi skin recently) I'd like to at least know he doesn't turn his nose up before I spend the money on 48 pouches. I've made that mistake before with the K/D food for Merlin (My old cat who had CRF) - Was it you who said your cat was on Fortekor? I know I read it somewhere but I can't remember where! I've got just under a months worth of those pills that I was going to offer to someone who had a cat on the same thing. Wanna do a swap? I can even send you some K/D tins if your cat eats them? I really don't know what to do with the damn things! Have got both the chicken and squsihy chicken flavours.
