How can I tell if he's off colour?

Fluffy seems to be a little quiet and not his usual self today. He's only eaten about half his usual amount of food and seems a little lethargic. He did come and cuddle me in bed this morning for ages but since then he seems to mainly have been sleeping!

He's not making any strange noises or anything and his poo seems normal, he's been weeing etc and not been sick as far as I am aware. Do you think he's just tired or something - how can I tell if he's ill?

as a rough guide, feel his ears - if they are warm to the touch he may be running a temperature, which would make him lethargic

Re: How can I tell if he's off colour?

Well over the last few days, he's been sick twice and his poo is quite soft, though not completely runny. It smells quite eggy though.

On Monday he seemed lots better and was livelier and eating well, then today he's not eaten as enthusiastically and is a little quiet.

His ears don't feel particularly warm and he seems happy enough - just not 100%.

Any tips on what to do or feed him (he usually has Hi-Life & Orijen)?

Is it worth taking him to the vet or should I give him a day or two to see if he gets better?

We've all had colds - not sure if he could have picked something up off us?

If he's been sick, he might have a bad tummy, try feeding him a light meal, cooked chicken, tuna, boiled rice etc
