They both liked the chicken only put down 12 small pieces each and both have 4/5 bit left. It may sound like a silly thing but would anyone happen to have or be willing to take a pic of an average size raw meal for a 8-12 month old. Don't want them to go hungry but would guess they don't need as much as is pure meat?

I am trying not to put the OP off. She has already stated that she is doing combo, not a totally raw diet. The cat will get most of its nutrients from the complete diet she gives it.

I want to offer her a variety that she can get from her supermarket or from a butcher.

Heart is high in taurine. Is organ meat - only feed 10%.

Therefore it does not really matter if the meat is lean or not. Skinless chicken breast is about as lean as you can get and skinless rabbit is lean too.

As you are not just feeding raw this sounds ok for a first attempt. Some cats can be difficult and don't eat any raw for weeks. If you were just feeding raw then you would be aiming at 2% of their adult body weight per day. For my cats that are about 5kg this would be 100g per day.

Remember the cheaper cuts are the most nutritious. Whilst we humans shy away from fatty meat and chicken skin the fat and skin are easy for a cat to convert into energy thus reducing the amount of work their body has to do. But like us too much fat leads to fat cats (not bank managers).
