Can you see the concentration??
Sandy says thank you to all his well wishers, he appreciates your kindness! He can concentrate on getting well and putting the other two in their place, their behaviour has gone down hill since he has not been able to deal with their unruly behaviour from his pen.

Re: Finally... on the road to recovery

Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for that its very kind of you. I wish the appointment had been this morning, Im getting more and more nervous, last time they had to sedate him to get the bandage off, I think it had stuck to his fur a bit and made it sore taking it off. I think they may have to do the same today, not sure if they can do xrays while he is concious.

He is just enjoying the time out of the pen,it so nice just being able to watch him look around him instead of being stuck in one place. Two more weeks with a dressing and then he can move around the apartment freely. He is not allowed any furniture to jump on and has to be on his own so he doesn't get over excited, we are just taking turns to sit with him so he doesn't get lonely.

Izzie

It sounds like such a nightmare for all of you, it is shocking that something so innocent like him jumping off something would cause him such a nasty injury and cause all this to happen.

I really feel for you all honestly.

Hi,

It has been horrible really. I was in a terrible state taking him to the vets and we honestly didn't know whether the leg would be alright as one of the fractures had come through the ankle. Im very sqeamish and I hate it when any of my babies are in pain. Im just looking forward to him getting the dressings off and hopefully in a few weeks he will be as good as new.

I won't be getting any new scratchers again for some time, its totally knocked my confidence, that something like that could happen just because he was playing with his brother!

Izzie

Thanks Suzy, I think his recovery is going in the right direction. I can't wait for him to be able to just be his old self, he is being so cautious bless him.

He has been a star really, I was so worried bringing him home initially but he has had his pen in the living room so he could see everyone, the last few days we have had him out for ten minute spells to get him used to the apartment again and putting weight on his leg. I think the next step is building his condition up again. I have him on kitty bloom which is really good for convalescing cats and hopefully get him back to normal as soon as possible.

Izzie
